Opened in the 1950’s Pershore College was created to reskill the Worcestershire workforce in Horticulture after the 2nd
World War. The college has maintained it’s specialism ever since and has been a leader in farm diversification within the sector. In the early 1990’s the Fruit growing section started to produce Apple Juice as a way to sell its surplus fruit that was not quite good enough for supermarket sale. We now produce around 60 000 bottles which are sold across the region in independent shops and restaurants, plus 7000 litres of cider. We have won countless awards for all our products including several Great Taste Awards and best cider in Worcestershire at the Royal Three Counties Show 2017.
As well as producing our own product we run a bottling hub for many small producers to have their own products contract bottled to industry leading standards.
Pershore College has its own plant centre / farm shop / pick your own which sells all the college grown / produce.
