We are a family run business situated in the heart of St John’s, Worcester. Winners of numerous local & National Awards for dry cured bacon, handmade Sausages and Pies, the business was first established in the 1950’s by Henry Dayus. The business is now run by his daughter Georgina, husband Craig & Henry’s grandson Tristan. Number 9 St John’s has been a Butchers shop since the 1770’s and over the years the façade of the property has changed very little.

We believe that quality produce and excellent customer service are essential for a successful business. Customer satisfaction is our main priority and with hard work and attention to detail we strive to achieve this.

Our beef, pork and lamb are locally sourced, matured for flavour and carefully prepared on the premises. We traditionally dry cure bacon using select cuts of pork, ensuring quality & flavour, and we produce a range of cooked meats and pastries including roast beef, boiled ham, sausage rolls, hot & cold eating pies, quiches and scotch eggs.

In addition to our shop we offer a bespoke catering service for private functions, including Pig Roast, Gourmet Burger Bar, BBQ, Buffets.
